Space stocks fall below their 52-week highs as SpaceX sinks lower Yahoo Finance
Full text: Google said it owns $94.1 billion in SpaceXSPCX 0.57% increase; green up pointing triangle shares, a roughly 6% stake in the newly public company. The tech conglomerate’s marketable equity securities include $80 billion in SpaceX shares subject to short-term restrictions on the ability to sell and $14.1 billion of shares subject to long-term restrictions through the third quarter of 2027, according to a quarterly filing published Thursday. The restrictions are common for shareholders that buy stock around the time of an initial public offering. SpaceX debuted on the public markets in June, marking a blockbuster IPO which Nasdaq said earlier on Thursday was its biggest listing in history. SpaceX stock rose 19% to $135 on its first day of trading June 12, giving the company a market value of $2.1 trillion. The stock price has edged lower over the past month, SpaceX shares recently traded at $112.13. Based on SpaceX’s market capitalization of $1.52 trillion on July 23, Google has a roughly 6% stake in the space and AI company. Google has had a long history of investing in SpaceX. In May, the two companies were discussing a rocket-launch deal to help develop orbital data centers, The Wall Street Journal reported. Google has been expanding its efforts to put orbital data centers in space as it ramps up its AI development, and SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk has expressed interest in the unproven technology. submitted by /u/SharkSapphire [link] [comments]

K so I got me some mid to long term opinions I want thrashed. First: micron big good. Capex on new factories means gaining market share of a thirsty fucking cloistered market. Duh. Second: Leo in general. SpaceX now and blue origin when they get their shit together and go public. The coverage you can get from space is what cell companies dream about with their wires. SpaceX Stock Hits All-Time Low Futurism
We all know Musk loves pumping his stocks through hype, FOMO, and soft market manipulation (taking Tesla private?). This could not be truer than for SpaceX, which is like if you took every buzzword in business today, put it in a blender, and then IPO'd the resulting scrambled eggs of a business plan. Rockets building AI datacenters to power social media chatbots? Are we insane? $SPCX is going one way: down. Here is my DD: SpaceX is the most successful rocket company ever. It is contracted by NASA to build a moon lander. SpaceX -> moon. But today is opposite day. If the AI bubble pops, it's going to start with SpaceXAI (fire the intern that suggested that). Does a sun synchronous orbit get 24/7 sun to power satellites? Yes. Does it make sense to incinerate your AI datacenters every 3 years in the upper atmosphere when South Korea is doubling their GDP selling HBM? No. Twitter- I mean, X (didn't mean to dead name) is not an advertising powerhouse. It makes about the same amount of money as this platform, Reddit, worth only $32B I am a greedy bastard. Money, money now, money please, me money me now money Rockets will eventually be a >$1T business on fundamentals alone. But this isn't 2040 yet, it's 2026 If I lose my money it's fake and not real and made up, if I double my money it's real. See #4 again Last note: the premiums on this are insane, so I'm going with a vertical put strategy to minimize up front premium while mitigating theta decay. I also want an expiration after all the tranches of insider lockup periods are released to maximize selling pressure submitted by /u/Phobophobia94 [link] [comments]

I am relatively new to WSB and I hope this post is not gonna considered as sh*t post, I just want to genuinely discuss with folks who want to respond on this thread. The reason of my title is that SPCX is not just a Space, AI and Starlink company. I understand the stock is extremely overvalued, has gazilion negative EBIDTA - I get it. The thing is that nobody except Elon and his close circle don't know the future plans. From my feeling (yes feeling) Elon is going to consolidate all of his businesses under this one and he is going to create self sustainable company which organizes all of supply chain and monetize it by oferring services to other companies/government. I know this sounds crazy but I won't be surprised if he takes tesla under spcx. When he says SPCX can potentially worth more than Earth - thats what I think he meant - he is going to create supply chains for all of his companies and consolidate into SPCX. His near future plans are creating data centers in the space. What I expect in the next 10 years that he will start creating bases on the moon, try to really bring people on the mars etc. You will say its not profitable, it will cost gazilion money etc, I know, but, let's think about what is actual SPCX product? Rockets? Starlink? AI? Non of this is making that money that would be worthy to do the business. The real product is - the stock itself. This all will be financed by us. He will do a progress towards his plans, and we will support by buying his stock. I think this is a beauty of capitalism where it could unite all people in the world to fund a project which would devolop us as species and finally start taking Space as a real thing. Let's forget technical analysis and try to "feel" and do this exercise by answering yes or no: Will stock go up when he creates data centers in the space? Will stock go up when he create base on the moon? Will stock go up when he land a man on the mars? Will stock go up when he does anything towards his goal? If all answers on questions is yes then you are on the same "feeling" with me. Why I emphasize feeling because this market has nothing to do with technical analysis, FS etc. All comes from people's feelings. I am invested in POET. POET has so much demand that they are simply not accepting new orders but stock falls down, because of people "feeling" (you van research as this is a different topic) Yes I am long term holder and I care only what stock would look like in 15 years. submitted by /u/gevs007 [link] [comments]

As I mentioned last week, I believe the SPCX event that was scheduled right before Opex and then canceled at the last second was by design. Until I see a full transparent audit of what happened, I'll keep my conspiracy hat on. If you follow the options flow like I do, it doesn't seem that far-fetched. There was heavy put positioning at the 135 and 125 strikes, and price conveniently flushed below both. SPCX has over 7 billion outstanding shares, but the tradable float is very small because so many shares are locked up. Despite that, options trade with huge volume. Between the low float and heavy algo activity, the stock is much easier to push around. Canceling the launch last Thursday flushed the stock below the 135 IPO price and encouraged more bears and shorts to pile in. Earnings are on Aug. 6, and two days later the first batch of locked-up shares becomes eligible for selling. My guess is they'll successfully launch before that Aug. 6 to Aug. 8 window. A successful launch, combined with the news, could drive a sharp rally and squeeze shorts. Elon can easily add more fuel during the earnings call by talking about SpaceX's future, creating another frenzy. If that happens, we'll sell covered calls on our shares and collect the inflated premiums. I will likely use little bit of those premiums to buy puts because next selling wave can take the price below 100. As I said when we bought the dip, I'm not bullish or bearish on SPCX. I simply think it's a stock where we can eventually own shares at a zero cost basis and continue to generate income later. I was tempted to buy calls this morning when SPCX opened around 120, but I held off. The next Space X launch window is schedule for July 23. With the FOMC, BOJ, and the key dates I discussed in my Q3 correction articles, stock market is going to be very volatile. There's a chance they cancel launch again and push it closer to earnings week--this could trap even more shorts. By the time I finished writing this, the stock had already rallied into the upper 120s and call premiums had jumped. If they cancel again this week, I'll probably buy some out of the money calls in addition to the shares we already own. If it keeps running instead, we'll wait for the excitement to peak and sell covered calls. I could be completely wrong, but I traded Tesla in its early days and I've seen how Elon has used bears and shorts to his advantage. source: trademetry submitted by /u/desi_fubu [link] [comments]
