Alright, let’s get brutally honest for a minute. We’ve all got that one crypto decision that still makes us cringe when we think about it at 2 a.m. Whether it cost us money, sleep, or just pure pride, it happened. For me, my biggest regret was back in early 2021. I had a solid bag of SOL (bought around $2–3) and panic-sold everything when it dipped hard during that random crash. I made a free and public app. It works with WebSocket or gRPC for Solana. It opens 31 parallel connections from 31 locations on 6 continents to capture notifications about finalized blocks. Afterwards, it merges all arrival timestamps by slot-blockHash to create a global sequence of arrivals for reporting. And the companion visualizer maps the sequence on a global map. So I have meager (share quantity) positions in RKLB and ASTS, however since my entry price was so low I have bagged 5 figures in profit on each. As I get older I’m trying to consolidate more of my portfolio into ETFS as opposed to the single stock play when I was younger. Being that ASTS and RKLB both comprise $15% + EACH in the fund, would it be wise to completely sell out of these positions and put it all towards the ETF NASA? This would also give me exposure to other space-based companies as well as SpaceX (although I have exposure to SpaceX elsewhere). Hello guys, I started with Crypto end of 2017. My first Coin was ADA. It was a great run on Cardano because I made a good profit with it. Next great run was Sand from TheSandBox. I even played those games. Solana was a short ride with good profits too, but honestly. I never liked it, just used it for making money. But because of my Cardano Backround the Solana project was not what I was made for. But as we know never be to emotional, I still bought some SOL and also made here some money. But with the time i grow. And I realized. Even the best promises doesnt count, when delivery take to long or the project is more hype driven. Since than I focused on the big 2. BTC and ETH, just Infinity Rising (Rise) which I started to invest while my Cardano obsession (now its also on ETH and Base) is still inside my Porfolio as a low chance low Market Cap Cryptogame Jackpot. Since some weeks my Mind openede for Hyperliquid.... Its somehow ironic that while Bearmarket the Hype token has a hype. But its not coming from nowhere. Hype doesnt promise, hype doesnt made big advertisments (Compare to many other project) They just build a great Dex, with an real usage. Trading futures inside Cryptomarket 24/7? Wow, this is so easy to understand. And obviously people do it. They use it, and they do it a lot. According to google KI the profit of Hyperliquid was over 900$ Million in 2025... It seems I found my new obsession. As my title tells. I am preparing for Bullmarket. Following is my plan: 34% BTC 26% Hype 20% ETH 20% RISE Please dont judge me for RISE. I know from logical POW it is no compare to the other 3 projects. As I told, its my last connection to Cardano, and I realy like the team behind. But What do you think about my other 3 choices? Do you agree? Or is it from your POW a total mess? Without BTC no Crypto, thats why 34%. Hype is the next big HYPE, thats why 26%. Been watching the altcoin season chatter pick up again this weekend. Every other thread is "we're about to rotate into alts, BTC.D is rolling over." Pulled the actual numbers and they don't really support it. BTC dominance currently sits at 58.1%. For context, when people talk about altseason in 2021 it was BTC.D crashing into the low 40s. We're nowhere close to that mechanically. What's actually moving capital in alts right now is ETF flows, and they are extremely concentrated. The XRP spot ETF complex has pulled in $1.39B cumulative. Posted +$10.87M on a recent day when BTC ETFs were -$290M and ETH ETFs were -$65M. Toncoin ran around +94% on a narrative spike but that's one token. Outside of the handful of ETF-tracked names, the alt complex isn't expanding, it's just rotating among the few products institutional desks can actually buy. The retail mental model is still "BTC tops, then capital flows down the risk curve into alts." That worked when alts were retail-driven and BTC was the gateway. Now BTC has spot ETFs absorbing the institutional bid that used to leak into the rest. The flow path is different. Other thing I keep seeing missed: BTC sits around $76.5K, off about 1.3% on the week. ETH at $2,062 is down 2.58%. ETH/BTC ratio keeps grinding lower. If alts were going to lead, ETH would already be moving. It isn't. Not saying alts can't pump. Saying the trade thesis the sub keeps repeating doesn't really survive a five minute look at where flows actually land. **TL;DR** I’ve built a statistical-arbitrage scanner that runs against roughly 1250 large-and-mid--cap US equities — the full rig: Engle-Granger cointegration, Ornstein-Uhlenbeck mean-reversion fits, half-life and Hurst filters, plus those frozen exit plans we lock in at entry. It works on equities because shorting is cheap, the universe is clean, and the relationships behave like dogs on a leash — they wander but they come back. Extending the same engine into crypto has delivered the same quiet revelation every honest quant eventually meets: the universe the model prices and the one a real account can actually go both long *and* short in are two different animals entirely. Before I publish any “Top 100” crypto pairs list, I thought I’d ask the people who actually trade this stuff for a living: what’s the right venue + instrument + denominator stack to build a repeatable edge around? **What the numbers are showing** We’re sitting on roughly 1,600 cointegrated candidate pairs pulled from spot data. About 900 of them are clearing the eligibility gates right now — Bond Strength, Hurst, half-life, p-value — all the usual filters. If anything, the mean-reversion statistics look cleaner than they do on US equities: bigger residuals, faster cycles, half-lives often landing in that comfortable 2-3 week window instead of the 4-8 we see in equities. Signal density is high. The execution path, however, is where the probability surface starts to bend in ways the back-test never quite warned you about. **Where the model and reality quietly diverge** A proper pair trade needs a clean, reliable short on the relative outperformer. For most altcoins, that published “USD price” you see on the chart is not really a USD price — it’s the USDT book multiplied by whatever the prevailing USDT/USD rate happens to be. Below the top twenty names, actual USD spot volume is somewhere between one and five percent of the USDT volume. Below the top two hundred, the USD book is essentially theoretical. That leaves the executable universe forking into three practical tiers: Tier Tokens Realistic short instrument Real-world cost Top ~20 BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP etc. Perps on Binance/Bybit/OKX or spot on Coinbase/Kraken Funding 5-15 % APR typical, ±50-150 bps drift over a 20-day hold ~20 to ~150 Mostly USDT-quoted Perps on major CEXs + some DEX perps (Hyperliquid, dYdX, GMX) Funding more volatile, depth thinner, 10-50 bps slippage per leg Below ~150 USDT-only Spot margin borrow (if listed and borrowable at all) Borrow APR that can quietly eat the entire modelled edge Some of the highest-ranked statistical pairs I’m seeing sit squarely in tier three. Which is the honest way of saying the strategy works beautifully — on paper. **The question I keep coming back to** If you were designing a published “top N” crypto pair-trading universe — the way a US equity quant would calmly publish a top-250 list — how would you actually scope it? A few sub-questions I’d value real-operator views on: **Denominator.** USDT is clearly the unit of account for something like ninety percent of global crypto volume, yet it remains a private-company IOU with a modest history of partial depegs. Do you build the entire universe USDT-quoted and treat USDT/USD as its own separate risk factor, or do you split into a tight USD tier and a wider USDT tier? **Instrument.** Spot pairs or perpetual futures? Perps solve the shorting problem cleanly — no inventory, no locate, funding is simply the cost — but that funding rate is live, dynamic, and perfectly capable of flipping sign mid-trade. Does it make sense to publish a pair signal whose true “borrow cost” remains unknown at the moment of entry? **Venue cut-off.** Do you insist both legs have a liquid perpetual listing on at least one major venue (Binance, Bybit, OKX, Hyperliquid, dYdX), or do you accept spot-margin borrow as a fallback for names that only clear one side? My instinct leans toward the stricter rule — anything that cannot be reliably shorted gets a quiet “not retail-shortable” badge and drops out — but I’m genuinely interested in the counter-argument. **Jurisdiction.** US-accessible venues (Coinbase, Kraken, Hyperliquid, dYdX, GMX) versus the rest of the world (add Binance, Bybit, OKX, Bitget). Two separate products, or one product with a venue tag per pair? **Top 10 / Top 100 framing.** On equities we publish a top-250 because that is roughly the cohort where cointegration holds and execution costs are uniformly cheap. Considering its utility and general mass adoption in recent years, I really don’t see it going much lower than this.
